Glow Morning Privacy Policy

UZUplay (hereinafter the "Company") values its users' personal information and complies with applicable laws and regulations, including the Personal Information Protection Act and the Act on Promotion of Information and Communications Network Utilization and Information Protection of the Republic of Korea. Through this Privacy Policy, the Company informs users of the purposes and methods for which the personal information they provide is used, as well as the measures taken to protect such personal information.

1. Personal Information Collected and Methods of Collection

The Company collects the following personal information in order to provide its services.

  • (1) Information Collected (to be classified as mandatory or optional):
    • At sign-up: email address, password, and nickname (for social login, the identifying information provided by the relevant platform)
    • Information collected in the course of using the service: unique device identifier (Device ID or UUID), OS version, device model name, IP address, cookies, date and time of access, service usage history, and records of improper use
    • Information specific to use of the app service: wake-up time records, sleep habit data, goal information entered by the user, photo data (if photos are uploaded), and daily log data
  • (2) Methods of Collection:
    • Entered directly by the user during sign-up and use of the service
    • Collected automatically through automated data collection tools

2. Purposes of Collecting and Using Personal Information

The Company uses the personal information it collects for the following purposes.

  • Provision of services and performance of contracts: providing content, delivering personalized services, and providing data analysis and statistics
  • Member management: identity verification in connection with the use of membership-based services, personal identification, prevention of fraudulent use by abusive members, confirmation of intent to sign up, and customer support and complaint handling
  • Development of new services and marketing: developing new services and providing customized services, and providing event and promotional information (where consent to receive marketing communications has been given)

3. Retention and Use Period of Personal Information

In principle, once the purposes of collecting and using personal information have been achieved, such information is destroyed without delay. However, where retention is required under applicable laws and regulations, the Company retains the information for the period prescribed by the relevant Korean laws, as described below (for example, records relating to labeling and advertising, contracts, and payment settlement under the Act on the Consumer Protection in Electronic Commerce, etc. of the Republic of Korea).

4. Procedures and Methods for Destroying Personal Information

In principle, the Company destroys personal information without delay once the purpose of processing it has been achieved. Personal information stored as electronic files is deleted using a technical method that renders the records irreproducible.

5. Provision of Personal Information to Third Parties and Outsourcing of Processing

As a rule, the Company does not provide users' personal information to outside parties. However, in order to improve its services and ensure smooth data processing, the Company entrusts the processing of personal information to specialized external providers as set out below, and when entering into outsourcing agreements, it stipulates the matters necessary to ensure that personal information is managed securely in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.

  • (Mandatory) Entrusted Providers and Scope of Entrusted Work:
    • Google LLC (Firebase): service analytics, data storage and hosting, and delivery of push notifications
    • Google Play Store / Apple App Store: in-app payment processing (payment information is managed directly by each store, and the Company verifies only whether payment has been completed)

6. Rights of Users and Legal Representatives and How to Exercise Them

Users and their legal representatives may, at any time, access or correct the registered personal information of themselves or of children under the age of 14, and may also request termination of their membership (account withdrawal). This can be done directly through the in-app 'Settings > Account Management' menu or by contacting the Privacy Officer.

7. Technical and Administrative Measures to Protect Personal Information

In processing users' personal information, the Company implements technical and administrative measures to ensure security so that personal information is not lost, stolen, leaked, altered, or damaged (for example, encryption of important data and establishment of anti-hacking systems).

8. Privacy Officer and Responsible Department

In order to protect users' personal information and to handle complaints relating to personal information, the Company designates the responsible department and Privacy Officer as set out below.

9. Duty to Provide Notice Prior to Amendment

In the event of any additions, deletions, or modifications to the contents of this Privacy Policy, the Company will provide notice at least 7 days prior to the amendment through means such as in-app announcements.
